Below are early results of the undercard bouts on the Manny Pacquiao vs Jeff Horn WBO world welterweight championship at the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, Australia Sunday morning (Saturday night in Northern America).
3rd bout (pictured above): Damien Hooper (13-1-0, 8KOs) of Dalby, Queensland, Australia beat former unbeaten Umar Salamov (19-1-0, 14KOs) of Russia of their 10-round light heavyweight bout and captured the WBO and IBF International light heavyweight titles. Scores: 96-94, 96-94, 96-94.
2nd bout: Undefeated prospect Brock Davis (10-0-0, 9KOs) from New South Wales made short work of Indonesian journeyman Rasmanudin (20-20-3) by dropping the Indon three times en route to 1st round stoppage in their 6-round scheduled bantamweight bout. After the fight Davis paid tribute to the mother of his trainer Jeff Fenech who passed away Saturday.
Curtain raiser: Brent Dames (6-3-0, 0KOs) of Victoria, Australia won by unanimous decision over Manny Pacquiao's cousin Joel Dapidran (8-2-0, 4KOs) in their 6-round super lightweight bout. Scores: 58-56, 59-55, 58-56.
