The rematch for the WBC world heavyweight championship between Russian champion Alexander Povetkin and British Dillian Whyte scheduled for 21 November behind closed doors at London's Wembley Arena has been postponed due to Povetkin being admitted on Tuesday in the hospital with COVID-19.

”The WBC has received word that world champion Alexander Povetkin is in hospital after testing positive for COVID-19. The Povetkin-Whyte rematch will be rescheduled to the scheduled date of January 30,” said WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman.
