John Dato of Bangar, La Union was dropped by his Mexican opponent Angel Antonio Contreras in the third round en route to a unanimous decision loss in their 8-round featherweight contest.
Scores: Max DeLuca 78-73, Patricia Morse Jarman 77-74 and Dave Moretti 77-74 all in favor of Contreras.
Dato absorbed his first loss and dropped to 14-1-1, 9KOs while Contreras improved his record to 11-4-2, 6KOs.
