The fight purse bid between the WBC and IBF light heavyweight champion Artur Beterbiev and the mandatory challenger Marcus Brown for the right to organize this fight will be in the period from September 17 to 28.
It had initially been scheduled by the WBC on August 19 with a standard 30-day deadline for negotiations between boxers. However, Top Rank, which represents Beterbiev, and Premier Boxing Champions and TGB Promotions, which represent Brown, have recently been busy negotiating the terms of the fight between Terence Crawford and Shawn Porter, and managed to reach an agreement in just a few hours, before the auction.
In this case, too, the delay is expected to give the boxing teams a chance to reach an agreement. And if accomplished, the Beterbiev-Brown fight will be Top Rank and PBC's third joint fight recently.
