Gabriel ?Bebot? Elorde called us this morning to relay his terms for a Juanito Rubillar-Omar Nino WBC light flyweight title eliminator in Mexico, to WBC president Don Jose Sulaiman.
Elorde whose wife Arlene is the registered manager of Rubillar with the Games and Amusements Board said he was agreeable to the $30,000 purse offer put forward by the promoters of Omar Nino, the former world champion but he wanted to make sure the purse was ?tax free.?
Elorde also asked for four roundtrip airline tickets to Mexico plus a $5,000 advance for Rubillar. He also asked that one of the three judges for the title eliminator be a Filipino.
