It has been learned unofficially that former American world champion Andy Ruiz, 36 (35-2-1, 22 KOs), could return to the ring in 2026 against Briton Hughie Fury, cousin of heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.

Ruiz hasn't fought since August 2024 when he faced Jarrell Miller in a majority draw at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, California.

Hughie Fury, 31 (31-3, 18 KOs), has won his last eight fights since 2019, and his last bout was in November 2025 in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
