WBO President Gustavo Olivieri announced today that the WBO has officially approved a 130-lb unification bout between WBO/IBF Super Featherweight World Champion Emanuel "Vaquero" Navarrete (40-2-1, 33 KOs) and WBC World Champion O’Shaquie Foster (25-3, 12 KOs).
Under the approved conditions, the winner must defend the unified title against Filipino mandatory challenger Charly Suárez (19-0, 11 KOs) within 180 days of the fight. Full official rules will follow.

"Please be advised that the WBO World Championship Committee has unanimously approved an exception allowing WBO Jr. Lightweight Champion Emanuel Navarrete to pursue the WBO/IBF/WBC Unification Championship against O’Shaquie Foster prior to discharging his mandatory obligation.
"As a condition of this approval, the winner must next face the WBO Mandatory Challenger within 180 days following the Unification Championship Contest.
