Well known Australian promoter and host of the popular KO Boxing TV show, Peter Maniatis, will be the guest panelist on today?s telecast of the action-packed ten round bout between Michael Farenas and Ariel Delgado.
The fight will be featured on the top rated weekly boxing show ?The Main Event? sponsored by Tanduay, the No. 1 Rhum and telecast over Solar TV RPN Channel 9 at 1:00 p.m. Saturday.
The fight card took place at Barangay Sto. Nino in Paranaque and was promoted by Gabriel ?Bebot? Elorde Jr.
Farenas, the hard-hitting southpaw prot?g? of former two division world champion had his hands full against the aggressive Delgado in an action-packed featherweight bout that delighted fight fans including former Australian bantamweight champion Paul Ferrari.
Penalosa picked Delgado because he wanted to give Farenas a stiff test to find out whether he has what it takes to move ahead in his career. By all accounts Penalosa who was interviewed after the fight indicated Farenas put on a good performance in a very competitive fight.
