Here's the letter sent by the WBC to the camps of both WBC 108-lb champ Brian Viloria and mandatory challenger Juanito Rubillar:
Dear friends:
The World Boxing Council is informing that the free negotiations period for the mandatory defense of champion Brian Viloria against mandatory challenger Juanito Rubillar, for the WBC lightflyweight title, starts today.
If no agreement for the above-mentioned fight is reached, a purse offer will be held on April 7, 2006 at the WBC Executive Offices in Mexico City.
