Aparri, Cagayan - RP Light Welterweight Adonis "The Undertaker" Cabalquinto and challenger Jaypee Ignacio both made the required weight of 141 pounds as the face each other in the Dinnanogan Ditoy Aparri. Former WBC International Bantamweight Champion Vincent "Popeye" Palicte and opponent Ricky Oyan both made weighed in at 116 pounds as they square-off in the co-main event.
The boxing event which is being presented by the Municipal Government of Aparri, Cagayan through the effort of Honorable Mayor Ismael V. Tumaru, MD and Joven Sports Promotions through its honcho Joven Jimenez. Accoding to Mr. Jimenez, "it is expected that the Aparri Public Gym will jampacked. Aparrianos love boxing and they are very supportive of every town activity. Mayor Tumaru himself guaranteed that the fight will be flooded by local boxing fans and people from neighboring towns. Attending tonight's event are GAB Officers from Manila headed by Leonardo Trinidad. Also in town is Australia-based promoter and manager Joel "Joeboss" Ostria. The event will start at 6:00 PM at the Aparri Public Gym.
