Reigning IBF intercontinental super flyweight champion Z "The Dream" Gorres bares a sparring session for fans on January 17 at the ALA Boxing Gym in Banilad Town Center in preparation to the upcoming saga for the IBF super flyweight eliminator on February 2 at the Waterfront Hotel and Casino in Lahug, Cebu City.

Believing it is time to let the fans observe him sweat out for the draconian battle against newly crowned IBO super flyweight king Vic "The Raging Bull" Darchinyan, Gorres explained, "I owe it to Cebuano boxing fans to show them that I am preparing hard for this event."

Recently Nonito Donaire Sr, father and trainer of Nonito Donaire Jr, who defeated Darchinyan to annex the IBF and IBO flyweight titles last year in a stunning stoppage in the 5th round, advised Gorres to dodge Darchinyan's powerful punches and instead focus on throwing combinations to dominate in points. Gorres knows very well what he is up against in his bid to take the premier position that will give him a shot at the IBF super flyweight title. It is now a matter of sticking to the game plan and keep his body and mind strong, sharp, and up to the challenge before him.

The sparring rounds begin at 5:30 pm.
