Taller Japanese southpaw Madoka Wada successfully retained her red and golden OPBF Female Minimumweight title by stopping our Carleans "Chay" Rivas in the seventh round today, June 26, at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan.

Throughout the fight, Wada's effective distance management, tough right jab, and precise boxing proved superior, allowing her to dominate her brave Filipino challenger from Angono, Rizal.

Despite Chay's valiant attempts to close the distance and land impactful blows, Wada's reach and skill kept her at bay.

As Wada (4-0, 3 KOs), unleashed a flurry of unanswered punches, the referee wisely intervened, halting the contest.

Although the cute Chay expressed her displeasure with the stoppage, it was evident that Wada had firmly taken control of the battle.

“Chay” Rivas (9-8-4, 1 KO), a true warrior, earned admiration for her unwavering spirit and refusal to back down.

Her courageous display has garnered respect, and her determination is truly commendable.
