Fast-rising Filipino prospect Kenneth Llover kept his unblemished record intact with a sensational stoppage over former two-division world champion Luis Concepcion on Sunday night at Winford Resort and Casino in Manila.
Llover showcased his power early, flooring Concepcion in rounds two and three. The veteran from Panama, however, showcased his world championship experience as he got back on his feet and pressed the action despite absorbing heavy shots from the hometown favorite.
The end came when Llover unleashed a flurry of unanswered punches. Concepcion, to his credit, remained standing but was clearly out of the fight, giving the Filipino a technical knockout victory at the 2:27 mark of round 8.
The event was a co-promotion between Gerrypens Promotions and Kameda Promotions, and is co-presented by Winford Resort and Casino Manila.
