In recent hours, it has been revealed that Australian boxer Nikita Tszyu is recovering at home after suffering minor injuries in a car accident.

Nikita, 27, is the son of legend Kostya Tszyu and younger brother of former world champion Tim Tszyu. He has a professional record of 11-0 (9KOs) and is the current WBO InterContinental Super Welterweight Champion.

This Tuesday, No Limit Boxing released a statement informing that Nikita's return to the ring is pending due to a car accident over the weekend when the vehicle he was traveling in was struck at an intersection. He is recovering from minor injuries at home.

Nikita's return to the ring in 2025 will be announced in the coming weeks, as will the highly anticipated fight against Michael Zerafa, with possible venues between CommBank Stadium in Sydney and Cbus Super Stadium on the Gold Coast.

Nikita has been out of the ring with a left hand injury, while sources close to the boxer indicate that he is not yet 100 percent fit.
