Hall asks fans to work its corner to keep the magic alive
CANASTOTA, NY – OCTOBER 15, 2025 – As the International Boxing Hall of Fame enters its 37th year of operation, it is more committed than ever to maintain its sacred mission to honor the great sport of boxing by maintaining the Hall of Fame Museum facility and grounds for boxing fans to visit throughout the year.
While economic uncertainty due to effects of worldwide inflation and increased costs in many areas has presented financial challenges the Hall of Fame has been resilient and remains steadfast in its efforts to honor the “Sweet Science.”
In addition to day-to-day facility costs, the Hall of Fame has set goals to accomplish some projects including roofing repairs, parking lot repaving, carpeting and other interior updates.
“Upkeep is not something that people often talk about, but it really is essential for the Hall of Fame to maintain its quality standards as ‘The Showplace of Boxing,’” stated Hall of Fame Executive Director Edward Brophy.
The Hall of Fame is issuing a heartfelt fall appeal to its boxing community friends and supporters seeking donations. These essential contributions will enable the Hall of Fame to uphold its mission of honoring and commemorating the sport.
