Mexico City is ready to host the NBA game next Saturday, November 1st, at Arena CDMX between the Dallas Mavericks and the Detroit Pistons. This will be the 34th NBA game played in Mexico since 1992, although the first regular season game was held in 1997.
The modern Arena Ciudad de México is home to the Capitanes de la Ciudad de México of the NBA G League.
The game between the Mavericks and the Pistons will be the fifteenth NBA regular season game held in Mexico City.
This is the 8th time the Mavericks have played in Mexico, and they have Eduardo Nájera, who becomes the first Mexican to play for the Mavericks in an NBA game in Mexico, while the Pistons will be playing their third game in Mexico.
Fans are hoping to see players like those from Detroit: Cade Cunningham and Jaden Ivey, plus Cooper Flagg of the Mavericks, who is the number one pick in the 2025 Draft.
