The World Boxing Council (WBC) announces that its Board of Governors has voted to lift the suspension imposed on boxer Ryan Garcia.
The decision follows a successful and fully documented process that has been thoroughly reviewed.
WBC President Mauricio Sulaimán shared the following statement regarding the resolution:
“The WBC Board of Governors voted to lift Ryan Garcia’s suspension following his successful and fully documented process. The WBC has been in close contact with Ryan, his family, his management team, and his promoter, and we are confident that he will begin a new chapter both inside and outside the ring. We welcome him back with open arms and are confident that he will be an ambassador for the next generation.”
The WBC reiterates its commitment to the well-being of all its athletes and looks forward to seeing Ryan Garcia resume his career with a renewed focus and achieve success.
