Sacramento Kings veteran Russ Westbrook officially surpassed the 10,000-assist mark with his eighth assist in Friday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, finishing with 26,379 points and 10,002 assists. He became the first point guard to reach the remarkable milestones of 25,000 points and 10,000 assists, as well as the eighth player to record 10,000 assists and the second to do so while also scoring 25,000 points.
Superstar LeBron James is the only other player to have achieved this historic milestone, reaching 25,000 points in 2015 and 10,000 assists in 2022.
Days ago, he contributed 23 points, 16 rebounds, and 10 assists to lead the Sacramento Kings to victory and surpassed Jason Kidd for the most rebounds by a shooting guard in NBA history with 8,734, compared to Kidd's 8,725.
