Former WBC middleweight world champion Julio César Chávez Jr. (54-7-1, 34 KOs), 38, has publicly announced his return to the ring on January 24 in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, against Argentinian Ángel Julián “El Paisano” Sacco (10-1-1, 4 KOs), who hasn't fought since 2023.
Chávez Jr. is looking to make a comeback after his mega-fight, in which he was defeated by unanimous decision against YouTube superstar Jake Paul on June 27 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
In the last five years, Chávez Jr. has only fought six times since 2020, with three wins and three losses.
