The United States Postal Service's "Forever" stamp honoring the legendary Muhammad Ali will be unveiled at a ceremony on January 15 at the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky, his hometown. The event is free and open to the public.
His wife, Lonnie, who has been involved with the "Get the Champion a Stamp" movement for many years, will be in attendance.
The United States Postal Service will honor Muhammad Ali, known as "The Greatest," with two stamps. Ali once said, "I should be a postage stamp, because that's the only way I'm going to get my ass kicked." Born Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr. in Louisville, Kentucky, Ali was known worldwide as a champion both inside and outside the ring.
