On Tuesday, March 10, in the Miami Heat's 150-129 victory over the Washington Wizards, 28-year-old Bam Adebayo, standing 6'9" (2.06 meters) tall, scored 83 points, the second-highest score in league history, surpassed only by Wilt Chamberlain's 100 points for the Philadelphia Warriors (now the Golden State Warriors) on March 2, 1962, against the New York Knicks.
Adebayo's score is the highest in the NBA in the last 64 years, surpassing Kobe Bryant's 81 points for the Los Angeles Lakers on January 22, 2006, against the Toronto Raptors.
