Pure gigil and bagsik! Proud son of Zamboanga, Eumir Felix Marcial, delivered an exciting performance tonight, putting a brutal halt to hard-hitting Mexican-American Omar Huerta in the third round of their scheduled 8-round middleweight showdown at the Pechanga Arena in San Diego, California.
From the opening bell, the relentless Zamboangueño was sharp, aggressive, and gutom sa panalo — pressing forward like a true Mandirigmang Pinoy, cutting off the ring and never letting Huerta find his rhythm.
The Filipino crowd at Pechanga Arena roared with every mabigat na patama, chanting "Marcial! Marcial!" as their fightee put on an absolute thrill inside the squared circle.
Early in Round 3, Marcial delivered an accurate, pamatay na combination that sent the brave Mexican crashing hard to the canvas!
He managed to beat the count, but Marcial would not let him of the hook — throwing a barrage of suntok that left referee Jack Taylor with no choice but to step in and save Huerta from further punishment.
Aray! Official stoppage via TKO at 2:18 of Round 3!
The Filipino star showed immense puso, grit, and AWESOME power — boosting his unblemished record to 8-0, 5 KOs — sending a thunderous message to the entire middleweight division.
Huerta, game but simply SHOCKED and overpowered by the stronger and faster Pinoy, drops to 15-2-1, 13 KOs, still a very good record.
"I trained hard for this. Para sa Pilipinas 'to! More to come — dagdag anit pa!"
Marcial declared proudly, the tatlong bituin at isang araw draped over his broad shoulders.
Once again, a true anak ng Bansa stood tall on foreign soil — proving that when a Filipino steps into the ring, he carries the fight and prayers of millions back home.
Marcial's heart and his training at The Gibbons' Las Vegas Knucklehead Boxing Gym matched perfectly, congratulations!
Walang Susuko! Laban, Pilipinas! Onward and upward!
