Former Pan-Asian Boxing Association junior flyweight boss Marvin Tampus continues his winning ways following a long hiatus, knocking out Rey Llanasa with a bone-crushing blow to the jaw in the mainer of Saturday night's 'Binukbukay sa Barangay' in Consolacion, Cebu.

Tampus put an end to the fight at 1:24 of the opening round of their scheduled 8-rounder, surprising ringsiders with his power.

Tampus took a boxing sabbatical in 2004 following dismal performances in Indonesia, but found himself with renewed vigor after hooking up with new manager Rex "Wakee" Salud.

In the undercard, Pingping Tepura stopped Eddie Villegas at the 36-second mark of the second round.

Former national amateur standout Roel Laguna also improved his pro record with a unanimous decision win over Jaime Acerda.

Brothers Erwin and Jeffrey Pulvera also notched unanimous decision wins over Jun Morano and Ranie Pamatian, respectively.
