Classy 22 year old Japanese youngster Kazuto Ioka has retained his WBO light flyweight title with a quick first round TKO of Thai challenger and WBC Youth champion Yodgoen Tor Chalermchai in Osaka Japan.

Ioka connected with a solid combination and then dropped the Thai challenger with a cracking left hook. Yodgoen crashed to the canvas with a thud and referee Bruce McTavish who is a New Zealander who lives in Angeles City, Pampanga immediately stopped the contest.

Yodgoen was carried out on a stretrcher.

The undefeated Ioka improved to 9-0 with 6 knockouts while Yodgoen suffered his first loss to drop to 8-1 with 4 knockouts.

Ioka who is very popular in his native Osaka had confidently predicted before the fight ?I?ll keep my belt without a problem.? The 1st round TKO showed, the baby-faced Japanese certainly did.

Ioka is a former eight-time Japanese national amateur champion with a record of 95-10, 64 knockouts. He is the nephew of former world champion Hiroki Ioka and was a former Japan light flyweight champion.
