World Boxing Organization (WBO) president Francisco "Paco" Valcarcel, has announced the officials who will handle the two big fights at the ESPRIT Arena in Dusseldorf, Germany on Sunday, Manila Time.
Valcarcel who will be at special ringside for the fights reported that for Wladimir Klitschko?s 7th heavyweight title defense against Frenchman and former cruiserweight champion Jean March Mormek the referee will be Luis Pabon of Puerto Rico while the judges will be Clark Sammartino from United States, Manuel Maritxalar of Spain and Philippe Verbeke of Belgium.
The WBO supervisor for this fight will be none other than president Valcarcel himself.
Klitschko who is looking for his 50th knockout victory has a record of 56-3 with 49 knockouts while his challenger Mormeck has a record of 36- with 22 knockouts.
For the interim WBO Cruiserweight title fight between Ola Afolabi (18-2-3, 8 KO?s) and Valery Brudov (39-3, 28 KO?s) the referee will be Genaro "Gino" Rodriguez. The judges are Clark Sammartino, Luis Pabon and Manuel Maritxalar. WBO supervisor for this fight is Andrew Smale, from South Africa.
