No. 8 ranked Filipino super lightweight RJ ?Sharp? Ano-os has scored an eight round split decision win over Japan?s No. 5 ranked Kuninobu Shimamura in Tokyo.
With the win Ano-os improved to 8-4-1 with 2 knockouts while the 28 year old Shimamura dropped to 15-3 with 10 knockouts.
Ano-os was coming off a 6th round knockout loss to Joseph Van Minoza last July 21, 2012 in a fight where he was dropped twice in the fatal sixth round.
Shimamura on the other hand won his last three fights all by knockout including a 1st round TKO over Yusike Kikuchi in an scheduled eight round bout last April 26.
