LOS ANGELES -- Four days off appeared too long for the Los Angeles. Clippers, what with all the rust that follows.
But despite nearly blowing a 16-point third quarter lead, the Clips still held home court and beat the Detroit Pistons, 112-103, Saturday night at the Staples Center.
Chris Paul had one of his finest performances ever -- 28 points, 15 assists, four rebounds and six steals. His sidekick, power forward Blake Griffin, added 25 points, seven rebounds and seven assists.
Brandon Jennings led the Pistons with 19 while Andre Drummond added 16 and 12 rebounds. Josh Smith and Greg Monroe each had 12 as Detroit's disappointing season fell to 25-44.
