Veteran referee Raul Caiz Sr has been appointed as third man on the ring for the August 11 IBF superflyweight eliminator between Z 'The Dream' Gorres and Mexican Gerson Guerrero at the Arco Arena in Sacramento, California.
The Gorres vs Guerrero 12-rounder is one of the seven bouts included in the 'World Cup' of Boxing featuring Filipino fighters against Mexican gladiators.
If the fight goes the distance, set to pen the bout are judges Gwen Adair, Fritz Werner and Tony Crebs.
Gorres is coming off a heart-breaking loss to WBO superfly champion Fernando Montiel last February 24, a fight many ringsiders thought the Filipino had won.
Judges Raul Caiz and Chuck Giampa scored the bout for Montiel, while Denny Nelson saw Gorres the winner.
