EDSEL Moral and Christine Hallasgo emerged as local 42KM champions while the Kenyans dominated the international racers in the Singlife Davao Marathon held today, Saturday, August 15 at the SM City Lanang in Davao City.
The 30-year-old Moral of Camalig, Albay clocked 2 hours, 33 minutes, 49 seconds to win the men’s division.
Second was Ricky Organiza [2:35:03] of Spectrum followed by 29-year-old James Kevin Cruz [2:36:36] of Marikina.
The 4th to 10th placers were: Roy Laudit [2:38:52], Ronnierick Busayong [2:41:35], Fodin Vilchez [2:41:52], Jave Calolot [4:42:33], Rodel Salvane [2:53:18], Jerald Zabala [2:53:45].
Hallasgo, on the other hand, had a time of 3:03:16 in the distaff side,

The 3rd to 10th placers were: Lizane Juay Abella [3:26:35], Kay Razel Cundangan [3:27:37], Jay Beltran [3:28:58], Jocelyn Elijeran [3:34:11], Yahsharah Daligdig [3:37:13], Shanaia Deifel [3:37:46], Maria Espiritu [3:38:27], Cecille Wael [3:49:09].
Meanwhile, Chepkwony Victor Kipkemei and Kingori Ziporah Wanjiru topped the international 42km racers.
Kipkemei submitted 2:25:33 to rule the men’s category. The 2nd to 5th were;David Kipkorir Rono [2:26:41], Gilbert Cheruyot Muge [2:29:25], Glady Kiptoo [2:30:28], Eric Chepsiror [2:33:58].
Wanjiru [2:49:49] won the women’s side followed by Pamela Chepkoech Bundotich [2:59:34], Caroline Cherono [3:04:16] and Abigael Jerop [3:08:45],
