Mexican WBC light flyweight champion Edgar Sosa will defend his title against the Philippines' Juanito Rubillar on Nov. 29 at the Arena Mexico in Mexico City, this was announced by Mauricio Sulaiman, the son of WBC President Jose Sulaiman, in a press conference held Tuesday in Mexico City.

Sosa (33-5-0 17KOs) will defend the title he won against Brian Viloria in April last year for the 7th time. Sosa fought only last Sep. 27 in Mexico City where beat Sonny Boy Jaro of the Philippines via unianimous decision.

Rubillar (46-10-7 22KOs) won the right to challenge Sosa after he beat Omar Nino Romero in a title eliminator contest last June 14 at the Palacio de Deporte in Mexico City.
