In another inexplicable match-up, Amor Tino of the Philippines faced undefeated Pan Asia Boxing Association welterweight champion Teerachai Or Ekarin and quit at the end of the fifth round in Uttaradit, Thailand, Tuesday.

The 18 year old Thai was making the 3rd defense of the interim title he won with a 2nd round TKO over Moses Seran last August 17. In his last defense Teerachai scored a unanimous twelve round decision over Vladislav Savchenko on October 13.

The 25 year old Tino who lost by a 4th round TKO to Thai Tor Silachai in a WBO Oriental lightweight title fight last October 1, apparently moved up from 135 to 147 pounds for the PABA title fight.

The Filipino was not even rated in the top 15 of the November -December rankings of PABA but still the fight was sanctioned.

The referee for the PABA clash was Chalern Prayadsab.
