JR Sollano has suffered a second round knockout at the hands of Yoshihiro Kamegai at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan which appeared to be a mismatch.
Kamegai was undefeated with a record of 13-0 with 11 knockouts and was rated No. 5 lightweight by the Oriental and Pacific Boxing Federation while Sollano was not even in the top fifteen and had a record of 14-10 with 10 knockouts.
Besides, JR Sollano lost a twelve round split decision to Jason Pagara in a Philippine lightweight title fight last February 21 and moved up in weight to fight Kamegai over the light welterweight limit.
The Japanese boxer came in at 141 ? pounds while Sollano weighed 141 ?.
Kamegai also enjoyed a height advantage standing 5’91/2” to JR Sollano who was around 5’7”.
