Britain’’s newly crowned WBA heavyweight champion David Haye is dreaming of fighting WBC champiin Vitali Klitschko in an unification bout in London next autumn. And Klitschko, according to James Brian of the British newspaper The Sun, says the Ukraine fighter admitted he is ready for a grudge meeting with Haye but that depends on Haye overcoming former world champion John Ruiz in April.

The 38 year old Klitschko was quoted as saying "It will be very interesting to fight David Haye. I'm ready to fight him but he has to fight Ruiz next and I wish him luck.”

Klitschko added "Maybe after that we can do a unification fight. I will be happy to fight him. He talks too much and if he fights me or my brother Wladimir he gets beat. Haye is world champion of trash talking."

Although Haye didn’t see Klitschko’s one-sided bout against previously undefeated American Kevin Johnson who backpedaled the entire fight said "Wembley Stadium would be an ideal place to fight Klitschko. We could pack it out and it would be a tremendous night for British sport. I'm looking to October or November for a massive unification fight.”

Haye held back saying a fight against Klitschko is in the future and he first needs to “ get past Ruiz and he's a tricky customer. I'm not overlooking Ruiz, that's one thing I can't afford to do. I have to make sure I'm mentally focused because the Ruiz fight is the fight that matters."

Concerning his title defense against Johnson which lacked action and was a boring fight, Klitschko blamed the American’s lack of aggression as the cause. He said: "Johnson was very defensive and seldom went on the attack. I won all 12 rounds. He didn't come to me and was always on the defense."

Haye was at the 2009 BBC Sports Personality of the Year awards on Sunday with his wife Natasha.
