Mervin Joshua Evenor Stops Sakda Langkabam in Seven to Claim ABF Welterweight Crown in Thailand

In an exciting main event battle, unbeaten Australian Mervin Joshua Evenor (5–0) turned-in a dominant performance to outclass and stop tough Thai warrior Sakda Langkabam (12–10) in seven rounds, capturing the vacant Asian Boxing Federation (ABF) Welterweight title.

The bout headlined a Brico Santig-promoted card on Wednesday, September 2, before a packed house at the MBK Center in Bangkok, Thailand.

Evenor — still perfect as a professional — outboxed and systematically wore down the durable Sakda over six rounds with sharp combinations and superior footwork.

The end came in round seven when referee Worawuth Duankhao waved off the contest after Sakda suffered a dislocated right shoulder, crowning the Seychelles-born, Australian-based rising star as the new ABF Welterweight champion. 🥊🇦🇺
